Medsurg Telemetry RN Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medsurg Telemetry RN to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, particularly in telemetry and medical-surgical settings. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and has the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry readings, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Assist with procedures such as IV infusions, catheterization, and wound care.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control standards and hospital policies.
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.

    • Experience

  • 2 years of experience in Medsurg and Telemetry.
  • Nursing license in the state of Mississippi or compact
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
