Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator for our Commercial Doors and Hardware division. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates for commercial door and hardware projects. This role is crucial for ensuring competitive pricing and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial doors and hardware projects.
Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
Utilize estimating software, such as Avaware and Agility, to streamline the estimating process.
Analyze past project data to inform future estimates and pricing strategies.
Present and explain estimates to clients and stakeholders as needed.
Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial doors and hardware industry.

Strong knowledge of Division 8 specifications and requirements.

Familiarity with estimating software, preferably Avaware and Agility.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.

Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
