About the Role
As a Graphic Design Intern, you will develop and execute strategies to communicate the value of relevant Kohl’s products and services to the right customers as efficiently and profitably as possible.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the development of Kohl's brand storytelling and promotional experiences for Kohl’s customers
- Work collaboratively with cross functional partners to bring Kohl's brands to life
- Build a strategy to be impactful for customers and execute media, creative and promotional strategies to align with that strategy
- Execute overarching design (look and feel) in conjunction with copy
- Solve creative challenges and build creative that delivers on business objectives and strategies
- Implement projects within established creative vision
- Collaborate with Marketing partners on all projects as necessary to develop creative solutions
- Capture customer needs across all channels and aspects of creative design
- Review all stages of the project with the Art Director / Manager
- Prepare creative presentation materials
- Collaborate with Project Management to keep the project on schedule and assist with timeline development
- Maintain job notes on critical design details
What Skills You Have
Graphic Design Major or equivalentStrong understanding of layouts, typography, composition, color and other graphic design fundamentalsMAC proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Figma and Adobe AcrobatDemonstrated ability to present creative ideas in a professional mannerGood organization, time management and multitasking capabilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillsEssential Functions
