Responsibilities Float among multiple ICU specialties including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart & Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units Patient ratio is 2 : 1 in ICUs on all shifts May float to med-surg and other inpatient floors as a staff nurse if ICU census is low, with a maximum ratio of 1 : 3 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18 : 45-7 : 15) with every other weekend required Epic EMR is used; Epic experience required for certain units Short-term acute care hospital setting Free parking is provided Must be willing to float to multiple ICUs and non-critical care units as needed May be assigned as a patient sitter if required Every other weekend and some holiday coverage required Navy blue scrubs are required No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, and no RTO allowed during first week of orientation Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler to this health system Travelers can stay up to 18 months; a 3-month break is required after the maximum stay Completion of training modules during pre-start / orientation is expected and compensated up to 16 hours Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required Experience with vents, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation required Epic charting experience preferred or required for some units Will not accept first-time travelers Must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates not accepted Valid documentation required : Social Security card and driver's license Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626213.
