What this job involves : Join our facilities team as a Senior Operating Engineer where you'll play a critical role in maintaining optimal facility operations in a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on ensuring all building systemsfrom mechanical and plumbing to fire safety and controlsoperate at peak performance levels. You'll contribute directly to JLL's commitment to excellence by maintaining facility standards that support our clients' operational success while ensuring a safe, efficient workplace environment.
What your day-to-day will look like :
- Monitor and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to maintain facility standards
- Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to optimize system performance
- Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation
- Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and resolve recurring operational issues
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality and competitive pricing while verifying delivery accuracy
- Maintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance oversight
- Monitor quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors
Required Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration and HVACUniversal Technician Certification for CFCs (or obtained within 90 days of employment)5 to 7 years of relevant maintenance experienceAvailability for call-in work and ability to perform additional duties as requiredAbility to comply with departmental safety policies for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposalPreferred Qualifications :
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, and CMMS systemsPrevious experience in a manufacturing settingOSHA 10 or 30 hour safety training certificationAbility to analyze system operations, diagnose problems / malfunctions, and implement corrective actionsExperience with tool and instrument inventory managementLocation : Pinellas Park, FL
