Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Abilene, Texas 79601 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : September 29, 2025 End Date : December 29, 2025 Shift : Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (10 : 30 AM – 9 : 00 PM), Monday to Thursday Hours per Week : 40 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2070 - $2220 Call / Late Days : As needed Patient Age Groups : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Proficiency in craniotomy and burr hole procedures Certifications : BLS, ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (preferred) Experience with Allscripts or Altera electronic charting systems preferred Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance Prior travel nursing experience preferred OR RN Responsibilities Deliver skilled nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on neuro / spine, ortho / trauma, and general / robotics / trauma cases Demonstrate expertise in craniotomy and burr hole procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more) Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems Participate in call and late shifts as needed Provide compassionate care to patients of all age groups Comply with all facility policies and healthcare compliance requirements Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this exceptional Operating Room RN job in Abilene, Texas!
