Experience with cardiac telemetry and post-surgical patients

Description :

The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

The nurse will work three nights a week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00.

The patient ratios are 1 : 4-5 during nights and weekends.

Candidates should be proficient in managing cardiac drips, including titration and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Experience with high-flow nasal cannula and CPAP / BIPAP is preferred.

The unit will care for adults and geriatric patients with critical care needs including neuro / stroke and cardiac patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

The role requires adherence to a strict minimum request for time off, especially within the first two weeks of the assignment.

Candidates must float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

Candidates must be aware that they may be expected to work some holidays during the assignment.

Two supervisory references are required.
