- Own full accountability for restaurant performance, including sales, labor, and operations.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of managers and hourly team members.
- Uphold and preach Laynes culture creating a fun, positive, and guest-first environment.
- Maintain operational excellence : labor management, cost controls, inventory, and scheduling.
- Understand, analyze, and act on the restaurants Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to improve financial performance.
- Ensure every guest leaves with a Perfect Every Time experience through great service and hot, fresh food.
- Use company systems, checklists, and documentation to run smooth, consistent operations.
- Oversee inventory management, food rotation, and truck orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Drive quality control and restaurant cleanliness, ensuring both front and back of house consistently meet brand standards.
- Maintain compliance with food safety standards and lead the team to successfully pass all health inspections.
- Build relationships with guests, your team, and the community.
- Engage directly with dine-in guests to assess customer experience and lead any customer recovery when issues arise.
- Lead customer outreach efforts and build connections with local businesses to drive catering opportunities and overall sales growth.
- Be accountable for shift coverage : when a Shift Manager calls out, the GM is responsible for securing coverage or personally covering the shift.
- Lead with positivity, accountability, and adaptability and make work fun.
Required Qualifications :
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience (fast casual or QSR preferred)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, teach, and hold others accountable
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Passion for people, guest service, and maintaining high standards
- Over-the-top positive attitude and adaptability
- Must be 18+ years old and willing to work a flexible schedule
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in fast food or fast casual
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus
- Track record of building high-performing teams
Compensation :
$45,000 per year + bonus opportunities (based on restaurant performance and experience)
