Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant needed!  Real estate experience!

We are a real estate company, founded in Brentwood, Tennessee over fifteen years ago.  We offer investment, development and management of more than 300 million in commercial real estate.  Our specialty is commercial real estate investment, build-to-suit development, and comprehensive asset and property management. Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support our real estate operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and assist with external audits
  • Provide financial analysis and support to real estate projects
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • CPA certification is a plus
