ENVIRONMENTAL UNDERGROUND OPERATOR I - (Equipment Operator I)

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled labor associated with the installation, maintenance and / or repair of the City's water distribution and wastewater collection systems
  • Operate various types of equipment, hand / power tools and / or vehicles

    • Automatic and manual transmissions

    Qualifications :

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS one (1) year of experience in general construction, maintenance and / or repair activities, with underground experience preferred

    • Licensing / Certification :

  • Valid Driver's License

    • "Class B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be required within six (6) months of employment

    We Need Someone Who :

  • Can perform manual labor tasks
  • Can work within a "team" environment
  • Enjoys working outdoors
  • Has experience, or is willing to learn how to operate various types of hand / power tools, equipment and / or vehicles proficiently
  • Is willing to get dirty
  • Willing to work "on-call"
