  • Office Equipment Available : Telehealth equipment available at DOC headquarters and many facilities
  • Support Staff Available : Psychiatrists

    • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Rate : TBD
  • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Virginia license
  • Board : Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications : NPI
  • Experience : No history of malpractice or disciplinary actions
  • Other Qualifications : Ability to handle correctional population and emergency phone consults

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management
  • Collaborate with the Chief Psychiatrist
  • Provide onsite or telehealth services based on facility needs
  • Be available for 24 / 7 emergency consultations via phone
  • Document care accurately in EMR (when specified)
