Senior Property Claims Adjuster (Columbus)

o Personal and commercial property losses including structure, contents, ALE, scheduled property and business income losses requiring an on-site investigation

o Property coverage questions

o Property limited handled lawsuits including attending pre-trials, mediations, arbitrations or trial when required.

• Inspect and write moderate to large property estimates using estimating guides and estimating software.
• Assist in risk evaluation on homeowners and commercial businesses including verifying insurance to value, coinsurance penalties and documenting any change or increased hazard to the risk.
• Assist inside property specialists with tasks assigned, such as, diagrams and photographs, statements in person or inspections of property.
• Assist in catastrophe claims handling throughout the company operating territory, requiring overnight travel or extended stays upon request.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with any sort of automated estimating system, Ex : Xactimate
• 3+ years of Commercial and Residential Property Claims Adjustment experience (Regional carriers typically have both residential and commercial)

o If someone comes from commercial, they likely have the residential

o 50-60% commercial

• Outside Estimating Skills (to write the damages)

o Can't be copying someone else's estimates, must be writing themselves in person Must be able to walk in, assess damages, and write estimates

• Must be capable of investigating and closing a minimum average of 30 elements per month
• Must have experience with and knowledge of policy information / analyzing coverage
