This part-time, variable shift role involves assisting with basic patient care, observing and reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to unit routines and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, providing direct assistance or escalating as appropriate.
- Support nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks.
- Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas.
- Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement initiatives.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
Education and Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification mandatory.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.Experience and Skills
