Responsibilities Work in the Cath Lab of a short-term acute care, teaching Level I trauma hospital Patient population consists of high acuity cardiac and interventional cases Shift is 4x10s, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with weekend work as needed, usually every other weekend On-call required : 18 days of call in an 8-week period Floating required to pre and post Cath Lab, and may also float to other units or affiliate hospitals based on skill and census needs Equipment used includes 1 GE and 1 Phillips system Charting is done using Cerner EMR; Cerner experience preferred Call team typically consists of one RN and two techs RNs may be the sole nurse on the call team and must capably manage all patient needs and procedures during high acuity cases Orientation modules completed during first week of assignment RNs can wear any scrub color of their choice Free parking is available on site Candidates must work 2 out of 3 specified holidays; no RTO allowed during first week of assignment due to orientation Return travelers are ineligible if they cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of start date or must wait at least 12 months if previously employed as perm, PRN, or EP staff All employees are expected to adhere to medication administration and patient safety standards Requirements Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Must have experience with SEMI Must be comfortable handling all aspects of high acuity full-service Cath Lab independently, including during call shifts Prior Level I trauma or high acuity experience preferred First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Must provide two professional references, including one from most recent employer within the past year Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621984.
