WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As our full-time Scrap Yard General Laborer, your role will be hands-on and essential to our daily metal processing and yard operations. You'll assist with sorting, processing, and handling various metals, ensuring materials are properly categorized and prepared for recycling. Your tasks will include operating small hand tools and equipment, unloading and inspecting materials, and maintaining a clean and organized yard. Safety is a top priority, so you'll follow proper procedures while working around heavy machinery and moving materials. While occasional maintenance or cleanup may be required, your primary focus will be supporting the efficient flow of scrap metal through the yard!

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working in a construction or general labor position
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical ability to work outside in all weather conditions and wear all necessary PPE
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Physical ability to work on uneven surfaces, stand / walk for extended periods, climb ladders, crouch, bend, reach overhead, and perform repetitive actions
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and be self-motivated
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
