Job Description
We are Nourish Carolina Counseling, a trauma-focused private practice in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The team at Nourish is ready to bring on another therapist to join our group if they are the right fit, we hope it is you! Please read the information below carefully before applying and we look forward to hearing from you!
Nourish Carolina Counseling is a trauma-focused private counseling team that is passionate, skilled, curious, and uniquely trained in various modalities to address trauma. For a better idea of who we are and to see if you feel aligned with our philosophy, niches and therapeutic practices, check out our website : www.nourishcarolinacounseling.com
Things you should know :
- You must have an active license to practice mental health counseling in the state of North Carolina. Please do not apply for this position if you do not have a clinical license overseen by a licensing board (LCMHC / A, LCSW / A, LMFT / A, LPC, PSY.D, etc.). We encourage associate or provisionally licensed therapists to apply (we currently do not have in house clinical supervision for A's in-house but we do offer to support you by helping you pay for your supervision).
- This is a 1099 contractor position. This means that you will be part of a team of self starting, self-leaders who enjoy autonomy over their work but do not want to feel disconnected from other clinicians. This means you will have support, but ultimately you will be your own business entity and therefore manage your schedule and clients as you see fit without our intervention. This mean you will choose how many days you work, if you see clients via telehealth or in person at our office and the specific type of clients you decide to work with. You can take time off when you need it and manage your own caseload as you see fit while we offer you clinical and administrative support.
- We are interested in clinicians who want to see at least 15 clients per week (or more).
- We pay our contractors using a 70 / 30 split-fee model where you receive 70% of each session fee and we receive 30%. Per our self-pay rates and contracts with BCBS and Aetna, contractors can expect to receive roughly $110 per session. You have control over your earning potential, which will depend on your personal values, how many clients you choose to see each week, and whether your clients are paying out-of-pocket or using their insurance. This will be discussed at greater length during the interview.
- We will provide you with referrals, assist in marketing, support with insurance and self-pay billing, get you credentialed under our insurance umbrella so you can access a larger pool of client referrals and support you with onboarding and administrative tasks. Your role is to provide excellent clinical care, documentation and manage all of your scheduling / client communication. We’ll provide you with clients that are aligned with your clinical skill set to decrease your burnout and support your nervous system.
- Clinicians who are self-motivated, self-directed and know themselves and their boundaries flourish at our practice. While we are a team and we support each other, we expect you to have the baseline skills to manage your clinical and administrative duties, as you are being hired as your own business entity and engaging in a contractual relationship with Nourish that provides you with full control and autonomy over your work.
- We have an optional monthly consultation group to discuss cases, drink coffee, and connect over life as therapists.
- We prioritize safety and inclusivity at our practice, and we’re seeking to create a diverse team that closely matches the diversity of our client populations. We are committed to building a team that is inclusive of all people, including those of LGBTQIA communities, members of all ethnic groups, people with disabilities and medical conditions, individuals of all cultures, people living in larger bodies, veterans (etc). All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Although not a requirement, in addition to the above considerations, we are particularly interested in chatting with you if :
You are trained and / or have experience in working with individuals with trauma histories. Modalities we would be excited to see would be EMDR, SE, IFS, TF-CBT, DBT, yoga therapy, brainspotting, CA, PCIT, somatic therapies, hypnotherapy, attachment theory, applied polyvagal trainings, etc). You are passionate about supporting people who have experienced trauma and are having a difficult time as a result. You have been previously paneled with BCBS or Aetna. You are interested in seeing clients both in person at our office in north Raleigh or south durham and from home via telehealth. This hybrid model is helpful because we receive referrals from folx wanting in person and virtual sessions. You would like to see a baseline of about 15-20 clients per week. You can see as many as you want and we wont manage your caseload numbers, however we are seeking afull timetherapist and are not looking for anyone who only wants to see a handful of folx per week. You are actively anti-racist and aware of the intersections of oppression of marginalized groups in our society. We do not tolerate discrimination and Nourish Carolina Counseling takes the safety of our space very seriously.Company Description
