Description :

Unit is composed of front desk staff assistants, radiation therapists, nurses, clinical nurse coordinator, chief therapist, director, medical physicists, advanced practice providers, and physicians.

The unit has two beam-matched linear accelerators for external radiation treatments and a new CT simulator, as well as a dedicated brachytherapy suite.

There are 8 clinic exam rooms, 4 of which are specialized for radiopharmaceutical infusions.

Two therapists treat per machine, with potential additional staffing in the CT simulator.

Nurses work collaboratively with physicians in the clinic for continuity of care.

Equipment includes linear accelerators, CT simulators, afterloaders, digital imagers, and various monitoring systems.

Full-time staff work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with treatment starting early in the morning.

Staff does not float to other departments, but there are opportunities to float to other clinics within the network.

The team provides a range of service lines, including external beam radiation therapy, stereotactic radiation, gynecological brachytherapy, and clinical trials.

The unit is accredited and has recently undergone renovations.

There are opportunities for growth, learning, and exposure to specialty patients and providers.

The dress code requires royal blue scrubs, with specific guidelines for nails and outerwear.

The environment fosters strong relationships with providers and emphasizes a compassionate care approach.
