About The Position

License : Must have a valid DC license prior to start date.
Certifications : BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, C-EFM.
Must-Have : Must register for C-EFM during the compliance phase or within the first two weeks of the assignment.
Description :
Labor and Delivery RN needed for a 13-week assignment.
Clinicians should have at least 1.5 years of strong experience.
Pending DC license accepted but must have the license before the start date.
This facility requires all employees to have the flu vaccine.
The nurse will be working in a unit with a patient ratio of 1 : 24.
Skills required include circulation and the administration of medications such as anticoagulants and magnesium sulfate therapy.
Experience in assisting with sterile speculum exams and vaginal deliveries is necessary.
The nurse must also be proficient in IV starts and maintaining central lines.
Ability to handle labor and delivery emergencies, including hemorrhage and shock, is essential.
Assisting in pain assessment and management is part of the duties.
Preferred skills include experience with scrubbing and the ability to provide triage for obstetrical patients.
References from two supervisors are required.
Additional requirements include having one prior travel assignment experience.
