About Ramova Theater :

The Ramova Theatre, Taproom and Grill is a multi use space within a restored historic movie theater encompassing an 1500+ capacity live performance venue, an independent brewery, a 200+ capacity live performance and event space, beer garden, grill, and taproom.

Ramova is more than live music, food, and beer. Our team, and by extension this role, will be charged with building a company culture that will create experiences with and for the community at large. Ramova exists to support the southside of Chicago, the greater Chicago area and national music scene, and anyone from near or far who appreciates good music, beer, food, and drinks.

POSITION SUMMARY

Restaurant supervisors oversee all restaurant operations to ensure that restaurants run smoothly. They train and supervise restaurant staff, ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations, and resolve customer complaints.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the hiring and training of new employees as well as the continuous training of existing employees
  • Serve as a role model and set a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business and personnel management
  • Maintain high-quality standards of front-of-the-house operations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same
  • Maintain guest experience to meet or exceed the company standards
  • Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively
  • Work with staff to project future needs and ensure inventory is completed accurately and timely
  • With the support of FOH Management; develop strategies for improving Ramova’s customer service
  • With the support of FOH Management, identify methods that the outlet can use to cut waste, decrease costs, and improve profitability
  • Ensure all products are accounted for and charged properly, items are rung in correctly and discounted when appropriate
  • Support with scheduling as needed
  • Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets
  • Escalate all employee and customer relation skills to upper management
  • Enforce all labor laws (federal, state and local)
  • Follow procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, customers, and company assets (building, cash, equipment, supplies)
  • Uphold company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees
  • Responsible for daily accuracy of Tip Sheets and Employee Clock In and Out
  • Retain thorough menu and beverage knowledge

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant experience
  • Working knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are conducive to a productive teamwork environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be passionate, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to success.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property.
  • Bend, lift, carry, reach / extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
