Description : Job Summary :
As a Career Technical Education Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing career-based intervention programs to support students in their transition from school to the workforce or further education. Your main goal will be to give guidance, support, and resources to CTE, ensuring the program's successful delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Understanding academic and career pathway through high school – including opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials and postsecondary course credit available through the CTE programs
- Increase business & industry linkages – serve as liaison to business and industry, trade unions and associations, professional organizations, and government agencies.
- Support successful transition from high school to post-secondary plans with career exploration activities, career fairs, college visits, speakers, etc.…,
- Monitor and track all students enrolled in CTE programs including enrollment attendance, and successful completion.
- Organize and conduct Boot camp prior to scholars starting CTE program
- Organizing and conducting career development workshops
- Assist CTE Curriculum Development
- Complete bi-weekly job site visits
- Managing Credential enrollment Tab in QuickBase
- Documentation on career advising proved for review by these scholars, scholars’ parents, guardian or custodian, and schools the scholar may attend in the future.

Organize and hold four (4) CBI advisory board meetings in a school yearCareer related learning experiences to students.Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and businesses to create work-based learning experiences for students.Stay informed about current trends and best practices in career development and workforce readiness.Compile and analyze data related to CBI and CTE outcomes, reporting results to district administrators.Collaborate with other district personnel to integrate CTE into the overall curriculum and student support services.Attend meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in CTE implementation.Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in education, Counseling, Career Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Previous experience in implementing and coordinating career-based intervention programs within a school district setting.Knowledge of career development theories, counseling techniques, and state graduation requirements.Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and responsibilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, including students, parents, school personnel, and community partners.Ability to analyze data and use it to inform program improvement efforts.Proficient in the use of technology and software applications relevant to CBI implementation.Familiarity with local labor market trends and industry needs.Certification or licensure in school counseling or Career Based Intervention Endorsement or career counseling is a plus.Result DrivenInnovative / Forward ThinkerFlexible (Ability to PIVOT)Flexible Scheduling (Weekends and Late Days)Excellent Quality of Outcomes (Meeting Deadline, Accountability, follow up / follow through)Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.?Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
