Manufacturing Conveyor Engineer (Automotive)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer with technical expertise in AutoCAD, Teamcenter, and SolidWorks to support facility and construction drawing projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Stellantis or similar automotive manufacturing environments and will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate facility and plant layout drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage conveyor system design, installation, and commissioning for new vehicle assembly programs.
  • Track and resolve open conveyor issues in assigned areas, from design through installation.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet timing, cost, and Engineering Equipment & Material (EEM) milestones.
  • Prepare and deliver standardized progress updates and reports to project management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, maintenance, and operations to ensure seamless integration of conveyor systems.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to advance conveyor design standards, safety, and operational performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience related to conveyor design, installation, or maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Autodesk, and Teamcenter.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Ability to interface professionally with both management and production personnel.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel domestically as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in 2D and 3D design.
  • Background in plant maintenance or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and tools.
