Base Pay Range

$100,000.00 / hr - $130,000.00 / hr

Responsibilities

• Provide professional structural engineering and construction management support as a general engineer, offering technical leadership and guidance for contractor-executed construction projects.
• Serve as the organizational subject matter expert for national standards and practices for structural engineering designs, foundation analysis of dams and lock structures, bridges, and roads.
• Review as-built drawings and respond to RFI requests.
• Perform quality assurance inspections, structural fabrication inspections, documentation review and preparation, and general construction management and oversight from a structural engineering perspective.
• Review construction lift plans involving cranes and rigging.
• Experience with reviewing contractor claims.
• Provide safety oversight, documentation of such oversight, and direct corrective actions as required to ensure worker and public safety.
• Assist in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor structural engineering requirements and deliverables; document and provide reports regarding contractor progress.
• Recommend authorization of progress payments based on observed contract progress.
