Firearms Sales Associate

The purpose of a Firearms Sales Associate is to provide exceptional customer service and expertise in firearms and related accessories. Your in-depth knowledge of firearms regulations, safety practices, and product features will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities include :

  • Greeting customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Engaging customers to understand their specific needs.
  • Providing expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all firearms laws and regulations.
  • Assisting customers in selecting appropriate ammunition and accessories.
  • Maintaining an organized and appealing firearms display area.
  • Processing transactions accurately.
  • Staying updated on current firearm trends.
  • Addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Establishing long-term relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrating product features and benefits.
  • Utilizing upselling and cross-selling techniques.

Essential qualities for success include :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in firearms sales or a related field.
  • Knowledge of firearms laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for transaction processing.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment.
  • Physical requirements include :

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Close visual awareness.
  • Ability to use a ladder and / or pallet jack.
