American Traveler is hiring an experienced CT Technologist for weekend night shifts in an acute care setting, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and proficiency with GE and Toshiba scanners.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care radiology department specializing in computed tomographyWeekend night shifts are Friday through Sunday, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AMDepartment features 2 CT scanners (GE and Toshiba); ability to use both is requiredTypical patient volume is 30 scans per 12-hour shiftProcedures include CTA, body, and neuro imagingUses Epic and McKesson EMR / PACS systemsRequires floating to other scanners if equipment downtime occursSolid color scrubs provided by the facilityCall or standby response time is within 30 minutesHoliday and weekend shifts are requiredResponsibilities include conducting a full range of CT imaging studies with an emphasis on emergency and neuro casesDepartment does not utilize RRAs; technologists work directly with radiologists (available days only)Department orientation is providedCandidates may not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities within the past yearFirst-time travelers are acceptedPermanent residence distance requirements apply for certain states (AZ, NV, NE, IA, MN); must live at least 50 miles from the facility\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years recent CT experience, including at least 1 year in CT imagingARRT (CT) certification requiredValid and active state Radiology license required; license required if applicableCurrent BLS certification requiredDemonstrated proficiency with GE and Toshiba CT equipmentAbility to start and troubleshoot IVs is expectedKnowledge of emergency room scan protocols requiredMust provide own radiation badgeMust provide 2 professional references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and another from either a supervisor or peer within the last 3 yearsCopy of a valid driver's license is required for consideration\n Benefits\n
