Our business is currently seeking a Welder in our Fabrication Department who is responsible for maintaining assigned fabrication and performing various functions. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, measure, cut, and shape metal components. The welder will meet specifications, inspect and repair welds as needed to support the production and assembly of various components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Welding Techniques : Welder will use different methods such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and Stick welding to join metal parts. Select the appropriate technique based on the materials and project specifications. Build intellectual property and distinctive design products.
- Blueprint Interpretation : Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements and ensure accurate welding measurements.
- Metal Preparation : Welder’s measure, cut, and shape metal components using hand tools and cutting machines. Prepare materials for welding by cleaning and aligning them properly.
- Equipment Operation : They set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Quality Control : Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet design requirements and safety standards. Use tools like micrometers and calipers to check the accuracy and quality of their work.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to strict safety regulations, wearing protective gear such as helmets, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Collaboration : Welder will collaborate with other professionals, such as electricians and mechanical designer, project manager, and operation manager.
Required Skills and Qualification :
Education : A high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred but not required.Experience : Firsthand experience through apprenticeships or previous jobs.Attention to Detail : A good welder must have a steady hand and great attention to detail to ensure high-quality welds.Benefits :
