Security Professional - Retail Center - Part Time

As a Security Professional in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls and more.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Sat 05 : 30 AM - 01 : 30 PM

Sun 05 : 30 AM - 01 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assisting with access control and helping to maintain an orderly environment.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or maintenance needs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with management, staff, and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and / or emergencies.
  • Remain visible and approachable to provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors as needed.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
