Recovery Center of Niagara is an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder that has partnered with DailyPay for same day access to funds! Our medical facility is located in Newfane and provides each step of care from the detox, medication assisted treatment, rehab and recovery therapy. We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive evaluation and to treat adult substance abusing population, mentally ill chemical abusers, and mentally ill patients. To assess prospective patients for admission to detoxify and to rehabilitate to the facility for appropriate level of care. Address any immediate ongoing health issues that can be assisted at the outpatient, residential, rehabilitation, or detox level of care.

Tasks and Responsibilities :

• Conduct evaluation with relevant history, health assessment based on the patient’s signs & symptoms.
• Identify needs of the patient and make a differential diagnosis based on the clinical presentation, history, and clinical findings.
• Conduct waived testing for urine.
• Develop a prioritized and mutually acceptable plan of care according to the written practice protocols in collaboration with the physician.
• Implement a treatment plan that is prioritized and mutually acceptable with appropriate diagnostic tests, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, patient education, and with appropriate referrals as needed.
• Provide systematic follow-up by evaluating the effectiveness of various treatments provided, therapeutic processes used, their outcome and modifying treatments & management plans as necessary to achieve the optimum mental health goals.
• Provide educational materials & information needed to make well informed choices and decisions by patients about their health promotion, illness prevention and finally, illness treatment.
• Facilitate the patient’s entry into mental health care system with appropriate utilization of quality and cost-effective health care services.
• Provide a safe environment for the patient, and promote patient advocacy at the individual, community, and global levels.
• Participate with other professional colleagues to provide comprehensive mental health care.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and confidential medical records.
