Remote Certified Coder

A company is looking for a Remote PRN DRG / PCS IP Facility Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, ensuring adherence to guidelines for financial reimbursement

Review medical records and assign appropriate codes, maintaining a high accuracy rate

Resolve pre-bill edits and denials for assigned accounts while staying updated on coding regulations

Required Qualifications

Three to five years of coding experience required

High school diploma or GED required; inpatient coding experience preferred

Must possess one of the following coding certifications : CCS, CCS-P, COC, or RHIT / RHIA

Certification must be achieved within one year of hire if not held at the time of hire

Knowledge of ICD-9 / 10 CM and CPT-4 coding systems is essential
