We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's team in Delray Beach, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology infrastructure and contribute to the success of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining critical IT systems, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting both hardware and software needs.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain desktop and notebook computers, including their network connections and related technology equipment.
• Design, configure, and install VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks for various users, including city-wide and police networks.
• Oversee the setup, maintenance, and support of servers, storage area networks, virtual desktops, and VMware hosts.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
• Monitor and analyze network systems to identify and resolve hardware or software issues, ensuring optimal performance.
• Implement and manage mobile device management, wireless access, and telecommunication systems.
• Perform data backup and disaster recovery processes across all servers, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with IT staff to design and modify hardware and software for new or existing networks.
• Provide support for product evaluations, software testing, and user training, recommending upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation and mentor team members on both existing and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows Server, and Azure Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Citrix technologies, and virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking, including Cisco UC, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Knowledge of Exchange, Office 365, and VoIP systems.
• Expertise in disaster recovery planning and implementation, as well as data backup solutions like Veeam.
• Experience working with Red Hat Linux and OpenShift platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Strong understanding of network security, configuration management, and load balancing.
