Position Summary

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for executing full-cycle recruitment strategies that support the firms growth objectives. This position focuses on high-volume recruitment while maintaining quality, compliance, and strong candidate experience. Acting as a connector between hiring managers and candidates, the Recruiting Specialist ensures that every hire aligns with the firms culture and performance expectations.

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, relationship management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy & Execution

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple departments, from sourcing to offer acceptance.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract top-tier legal and administrative talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, competencies, and candidate profiles.
  • Maintain and nurture active talent pipelines for recurring roles through networking and outreach.
  • Support requisition tracking and timely progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to evaluate skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.
  • Ensure professional, inclusive, and positive experience for all candidates.
  • Communicate proactively with candidates to provide updates and feedback throughout the process.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with EEOC, OFCCP, and state / federal employment laws.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation within the ATS.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness.
  • Represent Alonso & Alonso at job fairs, community events, and professional conferences.

  • Build partnerships with universities, professional associations, and other talent networks.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in high-volume recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, and metrics.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms (e.g., Workable, BambooHR) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Upwork).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all hiring efforts.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in legal or professional services environments.
  • Familiarity with remote recruiting operations and virtual hiring tools.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance standards in multi-state hiring.
  • Computer : Intel i5 (8th Gen+) or AMD Ryzen 5 (3000+), or Mac M1+. Minimum 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.
  • Monitors : Two screens required.
  • Headset : USB wired or wireless.
  • Internet : Wired connection, minimum 20 Mbps.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Time to Fill Average days from requisition to hire.
  • Quality of Hire Performance and retention of new hires.
  • Candidate Satisfaction Feedback and NPS scores.
  • Recruiter Productivity Number of roles filled per quarter.
  • Offer Acceptance Rate Percentage of accepted offers.
  • Hybrid role based in San Antonio, TX.
  • Combination of in-person collaboration and remote flexibility.
  • Occasional travel for recruiting events or internal meetings.

  • Starting Salary : $55,000 annually (DOE).
