Park Plaza Surgical Specialists (PPSS) is a dedicated outpatient interventional pain surgery center operating under River Cities Interventional Pain Specialists in Shreveport, LA. Their board-certified pain physicians and skilled clinical team perform advanced, minimally invasive procedures, from radiofrequency lesioning and neurostimulator implants to vertebroplasties and sympathetic blocks, in a facility built specifically for pain care. PPSS holds AAAHC accreditation, reflecting its adherence to nationally recognized standards for outpatient health care. Park Plaza Surgical Specialists (PPSS) is looking to hire a Surgical Technician  for our Shreveport, LA location. Join our surgical team to assist in procedures, maintain sterile environments, and support patient care throughout the operative process. You'll play a key role in ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Compensation : $21-22 per hour

Schedule : Per surgery schedule

Location : Shreveport, LA   71120

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

• Assist surgical team during procedures by maintaining sterile fields and passing instruments.
• Prepare the OR before cases and help clean / reset between procedures.
• Position and prep patients for surgery, ensuring proper draping and comfort.
• Hand instruments, hold retractors, cut sutures, and perform tasks as directed by the surgeon.
• Monitor OR conditions and respond to surgical team needs.
• Sterilize and set up surgical equipment and instruments.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Handle and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Assist with dressings and post-operative patient care.
• Restock and maintain supplies, including fluids and surgical materials.
• Maintain clear, accurate records and communicate effectively with the RN.
• Complete required training and other duties as assigned.
