Commercial Property Accountant Position

About the Real Estate Company- Commercial Property Accountant

  • CFS of New York is working with a Real Estate and Investment firm as they are looking for an Accountant to join their team
  • Our client boasts one of the largest real estate portfolios in the US, as they have 450+ properties including retail, residentials, office, and hotel buildings
  • This role reports to the Controller and Assistant Controller and will be asked to in the office daily in Jersey City, NJ

Role Responsibilities- Commercial Property Accountant

  • Preparing monthly reports on the Commercial property business including all active properties that the firm works with
  • Reviewing the budgets for the construction including working on conducting monthly requisitions for contractors
  • Comply with the development of accounting policies and procedures
  • Comply with internal controls policies and procedures

    • Preferred Qualifications- Commercial Property Accountant

  • 3-5 years experience of relevant accounting experience in Real Estate
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA or MBA is a plus
  • Experience working with an ERP system such as Yardi, MRI or Deltek is a plus; strong Excel skills
