Description :

SLP (PK-8) position with 37.5 hours per week.

Prevention SLPs are involved in efforts to prevent academic failure through various initiatives.

SLPs use evidence-based practice in prevention approaches.

Assessment SLPs conduct assessments in collaboration with others to identify students with communication disorders.

They inform instruction and intervention, consistent with evidence-based practices.

Intervention SLPs provide age-appropriate interventions based on individual student needs.

Interventions are selected through an evidence-based decision-making process.

Service delivery models are diverse in the school setting.

Therapy techniques are clinical when working with students with disabilities.

SLPs must design schoolwide programs that utilize a continuum of service delivery models.

They should ensure services are provided in the least restrictive environment for students with disabilities.

SLPs are also accountable for student outcomes through data collection and analysis.

Data-based decision making is essential, including gathering and interpreting data on individual students.

Program evaluation is a key responsibility for SLPs.
