We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer - Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden, NV or Reno, NV offices. This position will work on-site. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
• Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting; prior floodplain modeling work experience in Douglas County is preferable.
• Researches jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
• Oversees production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation.
• Performs data management and prepares exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS (desirable).
• Works as a member of a multi-discipline team.
• Mentors EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice.
• Conducts site visits and documents findings.
• Writes and coordinates preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
