About the Role

Are you passionate about helping English Language Learners unlock their full potential? Join Focused Staffing Group and make a lasting difference as a High School ENL Teacher in the Bronx. In this role, you’ll work alongside a team of dedicated educators to ensure multilingual learners thrive academically, socially, and personally.

What You’ll Do

Develop engaging, individualized, and group instruction that builds English language proficiency.

Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach in inclusive classrooms.

Create lessons aligned with New York State ENL Standards and Common Core Learning Standards .

Provide targeted academic and language support to help students succeed across core content areas.

Monitor student progress through assessments and adjust instruction as needed.

Partner with families by communicating student growth and sharing strategies for language development at home.

Engage in professional learning to continually enhance your practice.

What We’re Looking For

Required : NYS Certification in ENL or ESOL

Preferred : Master’s Degree in Education or related field

Experience teaching ELL students in a high school setting (strongly preferred)

Knowledge of second-language acquisition, culturally responsive teaching, and differentiation strategies

Demonstrated success in diverse or urban school settings

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Comfort using educational technology (SMARTBoard, student laptops, etc.)

Commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice in education
