Home Instead of Spokane is looking for passionate and dedicated caregivers to assist our clients with their daily activities.

What Does an Average Shift Look Like?

A typical day as a caregiver can include the following tasks :

  • Providing companionship & conversation
  • Maintaining a safe environment through supervision
  • Performing light housekeeping & laundry services
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to dietary needs
  • Assisting with walking and stabilization
  • Reminding clients of medications and appointments
  • Transporting clients to their appointments or errands
  • Bathing, grooming, and dressing clients
  • Helping clients with incontinence and toileting
  • Delivering memory care for clients with Dementia / Alzheimer’s
  • Comforting clients through hospice care

    What are the Job Requirements?

    To be considered for employment with Home Instead, you must :

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
  • Be proficient in English, both written and spoken
  • Be willing to drive up to 15 miles to work with clients
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and car insurance
  • Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Be willing to earn your HCAC (if not already HCA / CNA certified)
  • Be able to work at least 20 hours a week
  • Be able to work at least one weekend day
