Systems Engineer

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Mt. Joy, IA or New Holland, PA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Systems Engineer with 3+ years of experience supporting complex engineering projects, ideally in embedded systems or related industries. The successful candidate will help define system requirements, develop architectures, coordinate cross-disciplinary integration, and validate system performance to meet client needs. This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration across software, hardware, and product teams to deliver robust, high-quality systems.

Duties :

• Responsible for executing system engineering best practices.
• Define and maintain product level feature specifications, system layout, and documentation.
• Work closely with architectural team to ensure maximum component scalability and modularity.
• Understand intended product end user needs.
• Assist in defining product vision and roadmap.
• Define system level features and decompose those requirements into individual subsystem definitions and requirements.
• Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
• Coordinate with software development teams for implementation. Oversee integration of software onto the vehicle to ensure compliance to functional requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues found during vehicle testing. Perform root cause analysis on issues which may include controller software, hardware I / O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems.
• Conduct design analysis on components, vehicle systems and / or software architectures to verify new Requirements / Specifications can be achieved. This can include investigating HW I / O, wire harnessing, controller software and mechanical subsystems. This could include defining resource requirements, schedule to meet project objectives, as well as participation in design reviews, Safety Analysis and DFMEAs.
• Prepare technical documentation and data analysis. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments.
• Collaborate to develop automated testing for assigned systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
