About The Position
Job Title : Polysomnographic Technologist

Experience :
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Sleep Medicine as a recording and scoring polysomnographic technician / technologist.
2 years of clinical experience using a variety of Sleep Medicine equipment, troubleshooting, and correcting recording artifacts.
License :
Current licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
Certifications : Current RPSGT.
Current BLS Certification.
Must-Have :
Demonstrates compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Follows documented physician orders for sleep study operations.
Identifies and corrects artifact during sleep study operations.
Scores sleep testing data with 85% or better agreement rate with the Medical Director.
Coordinates the scheduling of procedures and distributes daily workloads.
Description :
A Polysomnographic Technologist is needed for a night shift position.
The focus is on conducting sleep studies for patients across various age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The role involves using several sleep diagnostic equipment and techniques such as CPAP, BiPAP, and PSG scoring.
It requires experience in maintaining equipment and providing therapy during sleep testing operations.
The technologist will work closely with a team to ensure patient care standards are met.
The ability to handle and troubleshoot equipment during procedures is essential.
Ideal candidates will also have experience in pediatric sleep studies.
The position requires high attention to detail and patient interaction skills.
Candidates should possess strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work independently during night shifts.
This role supports the continued education and training of staff in compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience in academic healthcare environments is preferred.
Technical skills related to EEG, ECG, and End-Tidal CO2 monitoring are advantageous.
Successful candidates will also possess strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
Continuous improvement and adherence to best practices in sleep medicine are expected.
