Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists with the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. This role involves utilizing the CT modality to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive patient experience. Technologists support teaching and continuous learning as technology evolves.

In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, Technologists perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and patients requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. They also practice and enforce radiation safety measures as per New York State Department of Health regulations.
