Position Overview :
The Imaging Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment such as CT and MRI scanners. This role ensures that all systems are safe, accurate, and compliant with healthcare regulations. The engineer will also collaborate with clinical and IT teams to support system integration, user training, and procurement decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation & Calibration
- Set up and calibrate medical imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound systems.
Maintenance & Repair
Conduct preventive maintenance, scheduled inspections, and urgent repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.Troubleshooting
Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to maintain high imaging accuracy and system performance.Quality Assurance
Perform performance verification tests to confirm the equipment is operating within manufacturer and regulatory standards.Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with all relevant federal, state, and industry regulations.System Integration
Collaborate with IT and clinical departments to integrate imaging devices with PACS, RIS, and other hospital information systems.User Training
Train technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff on the safe and effective use of imaging systems.Equipment Includes :
