Job Title : Welder

Compensation :

Schedule : Monday-Thursday 5am - 3pm

Mandatory overtime on Fridays.

WELDER SUMMARY

The Welder is responsible for preparing materials, assembling components, and performing welding tasks according to engineered drawings to fabricate high-quality end products. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

WELDER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare materials for fabrication processes.
  • Lay out and assemble components based on engineering drawings.
  • Perform fabrication tasks, including cutting / threading pipe, thermal cutting, welding, grinding, assembly, painting, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain inventory of perishable items.
  • Follow safe work practices and implement 5S housekeeping techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WELDER QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 months to 1 year of recent welding experience.
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Preferred : Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid AWS D1.1 or ASME Section IX GMAW welding certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools.
  • Pipe fitting and MIG welding to ASME code standards.
  • TIG welding of thin-wall tubing
  • Thermal cutting techniques
  • Skilled with hand tools (e.g., wrenches, grinders, drills).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift operation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings.
  • Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
