Low Voltage Technician (with Termination Experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician with experience in cable termination and installation to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and maintaining low-voltage cabling and equipment for voice, data, video, access control, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber optic, etc.)
- Terminate and test cables (RJ45, coax, fiber, etc.) in patch panels, jacks, and racks
- Install and configure telecom / data racks, cable trays, pathways, and equipment
- Perform testing, labeling, and documentation of all installed cabling systems
- Interpret and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and job specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on all job sites
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other field staff for project completion
- Troubleshoot and repair existing cable systems as needed
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, ANSI / TIA / EIA standards and company guidelines
Schedule & Environment

Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in low-voltage installation with a strong focus on terminationsProficiency in terminating Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, and coaxial cablesExperience using test equipment such as Fluke testers, TDRs, OTDRs, and tonersFamiliar with BICSI standards and structured cabling practicesAbility to work independently and with a team in fast-paced environmentsReliable transportation and valid driver’s licenseStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications
BICSI Installer I or II CertificationOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience with access control, CCTV, or fire alarm cablingFamiliarity with conduit bending, cable tray systems, and network hardwarePhysical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spacesAbility to work from ladders, scaffolds, or liftsWillingness to travel within a 50–100-mile radius when necessary
