Respiratory Care\nRegistered Respiratory Therapist\nWorks under the supervision of the Manager.\nAs directed by a physician, administers a variety of simple and complex treatments and tests.\nCollaborates with medical director and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans for program participants.\nResponsible for the competent delivery of all routine and emergent respiratory care services as described in the Respiratory Care policy and procedure manual.\nExplains purpose and procedure of treatments, tests and equipment to patients.\nRecords all pertinent information of treatments, including patient response in the patient's chart.\nRemarkable Care. Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.\nLicensure / Certification : Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required.\nWhat You'll Do :
It is the responsibility of every Novant Health team member to deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.\nActs as a patient advocate for
the patient and their support system by incorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan.\nPrioritize job duties according to patients' needs and changing acuity levels and ensures timely completion of care interventions, medical orders, etc.\nAdministers and evaluates medication therapies, performs patient transfers and transports patients.\nAbility to evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate routine respiratory care such as ABGs, bronchial hygiene therapy, etc., as well as perform higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations.\nDemonstrates independence in the specialty of Respiratory Care. Practices according to state requirements and standards.\nCritical Care Specific : Ventilator management, code blue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, use of all related protocols for patient care.\nAt Novant Health, one of our core values is diversity and inclusion.
