Building Maintenance Division Leader
DTK is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to launch and oversee a new Building Maintenance Division, providing strategic direction and operational leadership for facility maintenance services across the state of Texas. This role is responsible for establishing systems, leading a team of building maintenance professionals, and ensuring top-tier performance across multiple facilities and geographical regions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Execute the Building Maintenance Division vision and operating model.
- Build and scale infrastructure including staffing, CMMS tools, preventive maintenance schedules, and service level agreement suitable for multi-regional coverage.
Team Leadership and Development
Recruit, manage, and mentor maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians across the state.Cultivate a unified, high-performance culture that emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.Comprehensive Service Delivery
Oversee maintenance operations across a variety of building systems and service types : HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire and safety equipment, lighting, painting and drywall services, and specialty services such as pressure washing, window cleaning and construction cleanup.Preventive and Emergency Maintenance
Develop and enforce proactive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.Ensure rapid, effective response mechanisms for emergent issues, coordinating resources across regions.Safety, Compliance, and Quality Control
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations.Maintain high standards of compliance through periodic inspections, audits, and safety training.Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary liaison for internal and external facility stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, strategic alignment, and proactive resolution of issues.Conduct routine reviews and feedback sessions to monitor service quality and satisfaction.Budgeting, Financial Oversight, and Resource Planning
Develop, manage, and optimize operating and capital budgets.Oversee cost control, procurement, vendor contracts, and project performance measures.Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement
Build and scale infrastructure including staffing, CMMS tools, preventive maintenance schedules, and service level agreement suitable for multi-regional coverage.Drive improvement initiatives based on data analysis to enhance efficiency and service quality.Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Associate's degree may be acceptable with significant relevant experience.Experience : Minimum of 57 years in a facilities maintenance leadership role, with proven success managing diverse building systems and maintenance teams.Technical Skills : Proficiency with CMMS system implementation and use, maintenance scheduling, and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.Leadership Skills : Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder communication, and team-building capabilities.Certifications (Preferred) : Professional certifications such as CFM, RPA, or equivalents in facility operations, safety, or maintenance management.Other Requirements : Valid driver's license and readiness to support emergency operations across Texas
