Registered Nurse – MS / Tele (4T Observation Unit)

Facility : University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center

Location : 500 Upper Chesapeake Dr, Bel Air, MD 21014

Start Date : November 3, 2025

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Position Overview

The 4T Observation Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS / Tele) environment specializing in the care of adult and geriatric patients . While not an oncology unit, nurses will manage a broad range of medical-surgical and telemetry cases, including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, IV therapy, and central line management . The unit fosters collaboration among a supportive interdisciplinary team and provides opportunities for floating within the nurse's scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Licensure : Active Maryland RN License or Compact Multistate License – Required
  • Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent MS / Tele RN experience – Required
  • Patient Ratios : Comfortable managing up to a 1 : 5 nurse-to-patient ratio Required
  • Hospital Experience : Previous experience in both teaching and community hospital settings Required
  • Travel Experience : Not required (first-time travelers welcome)

  • BLS (AHA) Required
  • NIHSS Required
  • ACLS (AHA) Preferred

    • Charting System

  • EPIC Required
