About the Role
Weโre hiring field IT technicians who can confidently support a wide range of tech needs for residential and small business customers.
This includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs , resolving network issues , and repairing or configuring printers / scanners โ including issues like Canon MF printer network setup or G-series ink absorber error codes (e.g., 1700).
Youโll be dispatched to customer sites, work independently, and complete service calls efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair hardware / software issues on Windows and macOS systems
- Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
- Set up or troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired internet connections
- Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
- Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
- Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
- Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
- Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
- Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post-service support
- Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed
Requirements
2+ years of field IT support experience , including computer and printer workFamiliarity with Canon , HP , and other common printer brandsKnowledge of error code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon code 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts)Experience with both Windows (10 / 11) and macOS troubleshootingMust have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.)Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licenseSmartphone with camera and data for documentation and communicationAbility to work independently and maintain a professional demeanorBenefits
