JOB SUMMARY The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) partners with Product Management, Process Development Engineering, Procurement, R&D, and Instrument Manufacturing Operations to improve the quality of purchased materials. The SQE ensures supplier requirements and specifications are clear, well-documented, and achievable. This role drives supplier process capability manages the First Article Inspection process, and collaborates with Incoming Inspection and Operations to investigate and resolve nonconforming material issues. Key Responsibilities Investigate and resolve supplier nonconformances. Work with suppliers to develop and drive robust corrective actions. Provide subject matter expertise during PSP and Kaizen events. Support quality improvement initiatives across the organization. Report on assigned Key Performance Indicators during Daily Management. Perform other projects and job-related functions as assigned. Follow applicable safety procedures at all times. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree (Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other science-related discipline). Experience in Manufacturing or Quality Assurance. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, extrusions, stamping, etc.). Hands-on experience with product drawings, specifications, measurement tools, and metrology. Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability, and Quality Control Plans. Strong ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently. Excellent communication skills within department and cross-functionally. Strong root cause analysis skills and experience driving corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP). Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated problem-solving skills. Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to enhance Quality Management practices. Certifications CQE, CQA, CSQP (preferred but not required).
