- Monday through Friday\n\nThe essential duties of this position are : \nThe professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs by demonstrating : \n
- Knowledge of human development across the life span\n
- Knowledge of pain and suffering, pain interventions and pain comfort / theories.\n
- Provides safe patient care as evidenced by : \n
- Using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations\n
- Completing accurate documentation in the electronic health record\n
- Completing assessments accurately and in a timely manner\n
- Individualizing care plans specific to the needs of the patient\n
- Providing consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs. Attention to emotional, social, and self-esteem needs\n
- Regular assessment and maintenance of comfort\n
- Knowledge of basic physiology and pathophysiology\n
- Knowledge of human emotions during health and illness\n\nQualifications\nThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications\n
- Associate's Degree Nursing completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required without a previously approved exemption required. Please contact your Human Resources department for additional information or questions.\n
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.\n
- One year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.\n
- RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required\n
