Job Title : General Maintenance

• Follow resorts preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, public space, grounds, and buildings and swimming pool areas.
• This position will be focused on preventative maintenance.
• Applicants must have an eye for detail, be able to paint and wallpaper.
• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies / service procedures / standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• R eceive daily work assignments from Director of Resort Facilities and review priorities and special projects.
• Or ganize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments.
• Mai ntain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
• Perf orm general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
• Assis t electrician, carpenter, plumber and painter in all phases of repair work.
• Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to routine and preventive maintenance.
• Handle chemicals for designated uses / surfaces.
• Ensure s ecurity of any assigned keys.
• Assist wi th any special projects assigned.
• Recommend safety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs.
• Perform ser vice to the swimming pool daily, check and record chemical levels, maintain water levels and check pool filters.
• Perform ser vice to all waterfalls keeping free of algae, checking pumps and replace as necessary.
