Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy to improve patient communication and swallowing function
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams for comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy strategies and progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning
  • Requirements

  • Active Maine SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong communication, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
  • Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred
